As every 2FA app generates one-time codes every 30 seconds, you should make sure you enter it in time. In addition, your phone time must match your actual time zone for an app to function correctly.

One of the most common reasons why your 2FA app doesn’t work is the lack of synchronization between your phone time and the timezone you are in.

Where can I check if my phone is synchronized correctly?

Open this link from your phone to know for sure.

How to fix the synchronization issue

iOS

Turn on the Set Automatically option in General > Date & Time settings on your iOS device.

Android

Synchronize your Android device directly in the Google Authenticator if you use it as your 2FA app. Follow the steps described below:

  1. Open Google Authenticator.

  2. Tap the dropdown list in the upper right corner and find Settings.

  3. Choose Time correction for codes.

  4. Press the Sync button.

Note: This will only change your Google Authenticator time and won’t affect your device time.

If you keep experiencing troubles with 2FA after completing these steps, please contact our support team at support@coinloan.io, and we will do our best to assist.
